Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has named Bunmi Fadayomi, a respected marketing and communications expert, as the club’s new Chief Operating Officer.
This appointment follows a major leadership overhaul that included the exit of Technical Adviser Gbenga Ogunbote, General Manager Dimeji Lawal, and the entire technical staff.
Fadayomi arrives with more than 25 years of high-level experience across West and Central Africa, having led successful marketing initiatives in sectors such as telecommunications, FMCG, entertainment, and beverages.
He is well-versed in sports marketing, having played key roles in sponsorship, brand development, and fan engagement campaigns.
Notably, Fadayomi recently served as Project Director for Razzl’s $1.5 million sponsorship activation for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he oversaw operations across multiple host cities and venues.
His background in large-scale football promotions is seen as a major asset for 3SC as the club looks to boost its commercial appeal and deepen fan engagement.
Commenting on the appointment, Executive Chairman Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami said:
“Bunmi’s appointment aligns with our commitment to strengthening 3SC’s operations and exploring new commercial frontiers.”
In his new role, Fadayomi will lead strategic planning, revamp internal systems, and spearhead revenue-generating initiatives as 3SC prepares for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
