Promising young striker Joshua Akhimen Agbonkhese has officially joined Czech club MFK Karviná,platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The 18-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on February 14th, has been on trial with the team for over three weeks and was officially registered last Friday.
Agbonkhese, a talented forward, will initially feature with the club’s Under-19 team in the Tydenní Plan U19 League, which kicks off on Saturday. Despite his youth team assignment, he is also eligible to play for the senior team and has already made an impact, registering an assist in his team’s 2-0 victory over Sparta Brno.
Before his move to the Czech Republic, Agbonkhese last played with Shavik FC in Benin City. During his time with the club, he netted an impressive 93 goals in 113 appearances across various age-grade tournaments.
MFK Karviná and Shavik FC fans are anticipating to see what the future holds for this young prodigy, who has already shown glimpses of his potential on the field.
