The Supreme Parliament of the Education Students Association of Nigeria (ESAN), University of Benin Chapter has suspended four executive members and two principal members of its parliament after being indicted in a serious and embarrassing corruption allegation.
This was made known to the public on Saturday after a parliamentary sitting was held and in a press release signed by the Deputy Speaker of the Union, Hon Itodo Samson.
Corruption charges leveled range from gross negligence of the office to mismanagement of the association’s fund by six top members of the association. Those involved include the President, Comrade Agu Prince; the Secretary-General, Comrade Obosa Lucky; the Assistant Secretary General, Comrade Marcellus Uche; Financial Secretary, Comrade Daniel Naomi; Parliament Speaker, Rt Hon. Onome Emuejevoke; Budget Committee Head, Hon Grandball Ayo.
In accordance with the constitution of the faculty, those indicted will remain suspended pending the result of an investigation by a four-man ad-hoc committee which will be released on Monday, 12th of December, 2022.


The ad-hoc committee which is led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Itodo Samson, comprises Hon Adebayo Ridwan, Hon Gedam Victory, and Hon Alebu Winifred.
