The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has confirmed its appearance before the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Jury following developments linked to the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, platinumnewsng.com is reporting

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the federation disclosed that it presented its case on January 27, 2026, after reports submitted by match officials and reservations filed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation at the conclusion of the tournament’s final.

The FSF was represented by its Secretary General and received legal support from counsel Seydou Diagne.

Head coach Pape Bouna Thiaw, alongside players Ismaïla Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye, were also called to appear before the panel, where they were formally heard and allowed to present their defence.

CAF’s disciplinary body has since taken the matter under deliberation and is expected to communicate its verdict within 48 hours, according to the timeline set by the jury president.

The decision could have implications for both the federation and the individuals involved as African football’s governing body continues its review of the circumstances surrounding the highly contested final.
