Former Plateau United Football Club defender, Andrew Ikefe has linked up with Iraq Stars League side, Al-Jaish Sports Club of Iraq, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The 27-year-old will be with the “Masnaa Al-Abtal” for the 2025/26 season as they look to make a big statement having just gained promotion to the elite league.

Ikefe had stints with Niger Tornadoes, Katsina United, and Kwara United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The former Plateau United assistant captain’s beautiful runs in the domestic league earned him international experience which has further boosted his career with further experience gained playing for teams like Shabab Sahel, and Al Ahed in Lebanon. He moved to Diyala football club in Iraq before linking up with his new club, Al-Jaish SC.

The experienced centre defender expressed excitement over his new home while promising to help the team achieve its aim this season. “I want to give my best to the team, the management and the fans.”
The Kaduna-born is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the fore in helping the team finish top of the table.
