As against a rumour being peddled by an online publication site, center-back, Benjamin Tanimu did not quit Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and he remains a member of the first team being prepared for the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The strong central defender who joined Insurance FC in 2018 is still on contract with Benin Arsenal and has never informed Insurance management directly or through the manager of his intention to leave nor has he complained about any unfair treatment or offer from any club in the country.
This clarification has become necessary to correct the embarrassing and misleading social media publication by Nigeriasoccernet.com which exclusively reported on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, that Benjamin Tanimu has quit Bendel Insurance FC.

For the benefit of the doubt, Tanimu has no issues of any kind with Bendel Insurance as mentioned in another publication and he is one of the best of Insurance FC nominated for the best performance award by the Benin Arsenal management. He remains in the plans Monday Odigie-led Bendel Insurance Technical crew for the new football season in the NPFL.
He was solid in the defence and as well instrumental to the success of Insurance campaigns in the NNL Southern Conference B1 with six goals, leading to the promotion to NPFL 2022/23 season.
