The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to host its 77th Annual General Assembly on Thursday, 18th of August in Lagos in preparation for the NFF elections of September, platinumnewsng.com is reporting
The General Assembly set to take place at the Best Western Plus Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos will see in attendance the 44 Members of the NFF (Football Associations of all the 36 States and the FCT, the Leagues, Coaches Association, Referees Association and the Players Union). Members of the NFF Executive Committee, invited dignitaries, NFF Management and Staff and other sports stakeholders will be expected to be present.
Top of the agenda of the General Assembly is amendments to the statute, announcing the date for the election which comes up in September as well as other pending issues proposed by members of the Executive Committee.
The General Assembly ought to have taken place in Lagos on the 17th of December last year, the event, however, was put on hold as a result of an ex-parte injunction issued by a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State following the filing of a suit by some football stakeholders in Nigeria.
