Edo State’s deputy governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has approved the appointments of 8 officials to commence work with immediate effect in the office of the deputy governor.
In a statement made available Friday afternoon, signed by the Chief Press Secretary of the deputy governor, Comrade Musa Ebomhiana, nine officials have been appointed as Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants respectively.
Top on the appointment list are Hon. Kingsley Ehigiamusor as Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Comrade Musa Ebomhiana as Chief Press Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Akhaba as Senior Special Assistant, Mustapha Lawal as Senior Special Assistant and Mr. Charles Olubayo as Senior Special Assistant.
Others are Mathias Akhanemhe as Special Assistant, Comrade Robinson Akhenoba as Special Assistant, Robert Ojele as Special Assistant, and Isioma Ogochukwu as Special Assistant.
This appointment according to the release, takes immediate effect.
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, July 17, reinstated Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State, months after he was unlawfully impeached by the state assembly in April 2024.
