Edo State SWAN Commiserates With SWAN President, Isaiah Benjamin on Mother’s Death The Edo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN has commiserated with its National President over the death of his mother, Madam Agnes Benjamin who died on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the ripe age of 78.
In a letter signed by Edo SWAN Caretaker Committee Chairman, Ozioruva Aliu, and Secretary, Lucky Isibor, the state chapter registered its shock at the demise of the SWAN president’s mother at this material time as it is coming a few months after the passing of his father.
The chapter urged the president to be consoled by the fact that his mother lived a good life and saw the exemplary upbringing of her children as exemplified by the president.
“While we pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of Mama Agnes, we pray that the almighty God grants you and your siblings the fortitude to bear the loss.”
