The Edo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) on Wednesday, installed Hon. Desmond Amadin Enabulele as its Patron, platinumnewng.com is reporting.
This installation comes in recognition of his outstanding contributions to sports development and media relations in the state.

The installation ceremony took place at the Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, during activities marking Hon. Enabulele’s one year in office as Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission.
Speaking at the event, Edo SWAN Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Osagiede, commended Hon. Enabulele for his impactful leadership and unwavering support for sports journalists since assuming office.

“One of the real joys of the season is the opportunity to say thank you for all that you have done since you assumed office as Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission one year ago, to bring a smile to our faces,” Osagiede said.
He added that the honour was a reflection of the deep appreciation Edo SWAN holds for the Sports Commission boss, noting that his administration has fostered improved collaboration, professionalism and renewed hope within the sports sector.

“You shall continue to enjoy a position of prominence in our hearts and in the society at large. May joy and peace abide with you now and always,” the SWAN chairman concluded.

The installation further underscored Edo SWAN’s commitment to strengthening ties with key stakeholders, while celebrating leadership that prioritises sports development and the welfare of sports journalists in Edo State.
