The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has dedicated the Award of Dedication to Sports Development bestowed on him by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) at the celebration of its Diamond Jubilee, to the governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The award is also in recognition of Hon Amadin Desmond Enabulele’s immense contribution and support to the welfare and progress of SWAN in the country.
The plague was on Monday November 2, presented by the Edo State Chapter of SWAN during a brief ceremony held in Benin City, where the Chapter Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Osagiede, who received the award on his behalf in Abuja last Friday, commended Enabulele’s unwavering commitment to building enduring sports structures and nurturing excellence across the state and beyond.

Receiving the award, the Executive Chairman, Enabulele, dedicated the honour to Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Monday Okpebholo, describing the Governor’s vision and investment in sports as the cornerstone of Edo’s growing success in national competitions.
He also appreciated the Commission’s management, staff, coaches, and athletes for their collective dedication, noting that the recognition was a reflection of teamwork and the state’s increasing prominence in Nigerian sports.
Instituted to commemorate SWAN’s 60th anniversary, the Diamond Jubilee National Award celebrates individuals whose leadership and initiatives have significantly advanced sports across the country.
Hon. Enabulele’s recognition further reinforces Edo State’s reputation as a leading force in Nigeria’s sporting landscape.

Also in attendance at the event was the Executive Director, Sports Development and Operations, Mrs Sabina Chikere.
