Ese Brume Clinches Silver at the Diamond League in Oregon.

Nigeria long Jumper, Ese Brume, was close to winning her first Diamond League title but missed out to eventual winner Ivana Vuleta on countback (better score in the later part) as they both recorded a jump of 6.85m at the ongoing Diamond League in Oregon, USA.

After the Budapest 2023 World Championships setback, Brume who is currently ranked 150th best in the world and number four in the long jump event, was seeking her first Diamond Trophy in her debut in the final of the event in Oregon and would have been able to move up to second in the event ranking if she had won.

Meanwhile, Tobi Amusan successfully defended her Diamond League trophy earlier when she triumphed in the 100m hurdles event with a time of 12.33 seconds.
