Imade hits brace as Bendel Insurance beat Kwara Football Academy to wrap Ilorin preseason tour.

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin rounded up their Nigeria Professional Football League 2022/2022 preseason tour of Ilorin with a dominating 3-0 win over Kwara International Football Academy Friday evening at the Kwara Football Academy pitch, Ilorin.

Imade Osehenkhoe scored twice in the first half and a volley from Odinaka Edeh was enough to hand the Monday Odigie-led side a deserving tour-closing win.

Amas Obasogie kept in goal and was defended by Benjamin Tanimu, Sunday Anyanwu, Ebuka Akobundu and Julius Emiloju with Sodje Stephens, Maurice Prince and Zaidu Ayuba holding up the midfield to feed the attack compromising Deputy Echeta, Austin Ogunye and Imade Osarenkhoe leading the attack.

The guys who are beginning to form a synergy settled well into the game with passes to put their opponents through a test of pace.

With just three minutes into the game, Austin Ogunye connected well with Zaidu Ayuba’s pass, controlled and was tripped down when he was about to unleash a shot. Imade Osehenkhoe picked up the ball and hit it hard far from the goalkeeper’s reach. The goal brewed in the breathing space Insurance needed to play their game as they entertain the teeming crowd with beautiful passes stringed together.

Bendel Insurance extended the lead on the hour mark flank of a beautiful goal from Imade Osehenkhoe – Ebuka Akobundu crossed to the path of the striker, but a defender headed wide and fell to the path of Deputy Echeta who wasted no time in setting Imade up with a fine through ball which the scorer beat his marker to pace and hit his shot to the far top right of the goalkeeper.

The rest of the half time saw beautiful play from both side with KIFA showing some great move and attacks that got Amas Obasogie of his post to pull a couple of saves before the half time whistle.

Insurance made a multiple change to begin the second half throwing in 9 outfield players and a goalkeeper.

The second half was less competitive with no much actions, though few beautiful displays by Divine, Micha Ojodumo and Matteus who gave good account of themselves.

As the game winded down, substitute Odinaka Edeh from 28 meters from the right flanked hit a volley to beat the goalkeeper and made it three for the Benin Arsenal in the 90th minute.
