Julius Aghahowa Super Cup: Julius Aghahowa arrive in Benin, feels good to be back home.

Former Super Eagles striker, Julius Efosa Aghahowa on Friday morning arrived in Benin City to officially kick off the maiden edition of the Julius Aghahowa Super Cup which kicks off today.

The competition will take place at the Eagle Wings Football complex, …, Benin City, Edo State.

The former Bendel Insurance FC striker’s flight landed at exactly 10:39 am at the Benin City airport and was received by the chairman of the organizing committee, Mr Darlington Ogbeifun who led him to the venue of the match immediately.

The former Esperance of Tunisia forward arrived with the trophies and other individual awards meant for outstanding players at the tournament.

On arrival, the former Shakhtar Donetsk striker said he was happy to be back home and give in his little way to the source he emerged through.

“It’s good to be back home and to see my people again after so many years.”

“Beyond the little cash prize, this initiative is a test run to what is going to become bigger and have great stars emerge from. We are home now, let’s get things started.”

‘AghaWonder’ as fondly called by Nigerian football fateful dressed as an athlete he is having in mind that he will perform the official kick-off before Eagle Wings and Rockers will trade tackles.
