The Minister of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Sunday Dare will today, meet with the 11 presidential aspirants of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) top job.
In a letter obtained by platinumnewsng.com, it was dated, 23rd September 2022 and signed by the permanent secretary of the Sports Ministry, Ismailia Abubakar, the meeting will take place today at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja by 4 pm.
This is coming three days to the much anticipated and awaited NFF elections billed to hold on September 30, 2022, in Benin City, Edo State.
About 11 aspirants are expected to be present at the crucial meeting, as they have been cleared to run for the football chief position. The aspirants include the current NFF first Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi; the current second Vice President, Shehu Dikko, the current Chairman of Chairmen, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, former international player Idah Peterside, Confederation of Africa (CAF) Head of Safety and Security, Christian Emeruwa, former Chairman of Kano Pillars, Abba Abdullahi Yola, Amanze Uchegbulam, David-Buhari Doherty, Adam Moukthar Mohammed, Suleiman Kwande, and Musa Amadu.
Although, uncertainty hovers around the election holding due to a pending conflict between the Professional Football Association Nigeria (PFAN) and the NFF over different issues bordering on equal representation of players on the NFF board.
