NFF to employ foreign coach for Super Eagles.

By Taiwo Adeyinka

The Executive Committee of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) convened on Wednesday and decided to hire a foreign coach to address the recent poor performances of the Super Eagles in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers and upcoming AFCON qualifiers.

The disappointing results of the Super Eagles’ matches necessitated an urgent and essential roundtable discussion.

To enhance the team’s performance, the NFF resolved to appoint a foreign coach with better experience to work with the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles. Additionally, the technical department will receive additional qualified personnel with high-quality skills. Structural adjustments will also be made to the Sub-Committee.

The Executive expressed dissatisfaction with the players’ attitudes towards the game and responded by initiating a comprehensive scouting program aimed at recruiting talented Nigerian players globally.

Furthermore, the Executive Committee acknowledged the efforts of the Super Eagles’ counterparts, the Falconets, and Flamingos, in preparation for the FIFA Women’s World Cup U20 and U17 respectively. They directed the technical body and its Sub-Committee to approve the program submitted by the Falconets’ Head Coach and prepare adequately for the Flamingos’ match today in Abuja against Liberia
