The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee has upheld sanctions against Kano Pillars FC and Katsina United FC over crowd disturbances in separate NPFL matches.
For Kano Pillars, the Committee confirmed that the club failed to provide proper security during their October 12, 2025 match against Shooting Stars in Kano. Supporters threw objects onto the pitch, invaded the field, and assaulted players and match officials.
Kano Pillars were fined ₦5.5 million, deducted three points and three goals, and ordered to pay ₦1.5 million compensation to match officials. The indefinite closure of the Sani Abacha Stadium was reduced to a five-match ban.
For Katsina United, the Committee found that the club failed to control its supporters during the November 8, 2025 match against Barau FC in Katsina. Fans threw objects and stones onto the pitch, injuring Barau FC player Abraham Nana, and harassed officials.
Katsina United were fined ₦3 million. The order moving the club to Jos to play behind closed doors was reduced to a five-match stadium ban, after which the team will return to Mohammed Dikko Stadium.
Both clubs retain the right to appeal the decisions.
