Nigerian Ball juggler and Freestyler, Tonye Solomon, nicknamed ‘D-Boy’ has set a new Guinness World Record.
The Bayelsa Born ex-footballer set the record for the most steps climbed on a ladder (150) while balancing a football (soccer ball) on the head after a successful attempt in Yenagoa, Nigeria, on 10 August 2023 according to Guinness World Records.
He climbed the step ladder of a Mast located at hospital road in Yenagoa on Thursday, 10th August to break the record
The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, congratulated Mr Solomon for the “feat”.
“Such a great feat is inspiring, and it’s worth celebrating. We are proud of you Champ!” Mr Ewhrudjakpo said on Twitter, on Thursday.
Tonye Solomon currently also holds the world record for “The Greatest Distance Travelled With the Football Balanced On The Head”. He set the record in 2016 when he completed 52km from Amassoma town en-route Tombia town, Agudama-pie with the finish line at Peace Park, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State
