Ahead of the 2022/2023 season of the mi Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the League Management Company (LMC) is set to begin stadium inspection exercise on Monday, August 28th.
In a letter dated August 25, 2022, the league body addressed all chairmen and General Managers, to present their first and second preferred home venues for the coming season.

The letter which was communicated to all clubs clearly stated that stadium and facilities inspection will begin on Monday, 28th of August through September 1, 2022.
The 2022/2023 NPFL season has tentatively been scheduled to begin on 23 September 2022 across the federation. The league will go on mid-season break after week 19 matches on 27-28 January 2023.
The NPFL general assembly of the LMC and club owners will hold on September 16 just before the season commences.
Rivers United won the 2021/2022 NPFL season after dethroning former champions, Akwa United
