The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs are set to meet with the newly appointed NPFL board on Thursday, August 3rd.

The meeting, set to take place at the Sandralia Hotel in Abuja, marks the first consultative gathering of the Chairmen and General Managers of the 20 NPFL clubs.

Although the invitation letter, signed by Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer, does not outline the specific agenda, it is expected that discussions will focus on the upcoming 2023/24 season, which is tentatively scheduled to begin on August 26th or 27th.

This meeting presents an excellent opportunity for the new board to present their vision and strategy, building on the success of the last season, where Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye led the interim team.

Elegbeleye, the new Chairman, emphasized the board’s commitment to building on the achievements of the previous season, now that they have the necessary support to operate as a fully constituted board.
