In anticipation of the 2022/2023 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under the leadership of Hon. Sunday Dare has set up an Interim Management Committee (IMC).
Although the NPFL transfer window for the 2022/2023 season was earlier announced to close on Friday, September 30, fans and supporters of the NPFL are left in the dark about the league’s transfer window closing date and resumption date due to the league arbitrators who have been on the ground for nine years declared illegal.
The Federal Government of Nigeria had earlier in September proscribed the league’s administrator, the League Management Company (LMC) as illegal and had its license withdrawn.
Via a press release obtained by platinunnewsng.com, the ministry of sports appointed 11 members to oversee the IMC with the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeye as the chairperson.
