NWFL24: Edo Queens has a lot to work on – Moses Adukwu

Head coach of Edo Queens, Moses Adukwu believes his side still need a lot to do despite picking up their second victory on three matches in the 2023/24 Nigeria Women Football League, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Edo Queens defeated Sunshine Queens by a lone goal in matchday three of the NWFL at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday evening. Kafayat Mafisere’s superb free kick in the seventh minute made the difference in the crucial encounter.

Speaking with Platinumnewsng.com after the game, Moses Adukwu expressed his disappointment in not getting more than a goal but was thankful for the victory.

“We worked hard and tried to curtail them. We scored early but had other goalscoring chance but did not go our way. We won the game but there’s a lot to work on. We are facing Ekiti next and we will take every game one at a time.”

Edo Queens are currently top of the NWFL Group B with six points from three games. The Benin-Based team will host Ekiti Queens in matchday four of the NWFL.
