Ogbas BC Takes Early Lead as Yucateco Boxing Train Hits Ilorin

Ogbas Family Boxing Club has taken an early lead after week-10 hostilities of the Yucateco Boxing League Season 2. Pugilists representing Ogbas bc have accrued more points across all weight categories going into last Friday’s brawl.

With several Pan-African bouts on the fight card, hostilities got on the way with a keenly contested 51kg brawl that saw Qozeem Abeeb of Angulo Siete boxing club secured a 3-2 victory over Samad Asude of Harmony bc. In the 63.5kg Progreso BC’s Qudus Omotayo recorded a 4-1 victory as he made a light work of Riliwan Salawu of Akil boxing club. Also in the 63.5kg Godsman Amaichi Harmony bc secured a 4-1 triumph over Ismail Isa of Angulo Siete.

It was more like a stroll in the park in the 67kg as Qudus Tijani of Miramontes bc bagged a 5-0 victory against Samuel Odunayo of E-Francis Aiyegbeni boxing club. Abdullahi  Abdurasheed of Akil bc gave an insipid performance as he suffered a 5-0 defeat against Semiu Omotajo of Progreso bc in their 71kg contest. The boxing train will have its next stop in Ilorin Kwara state on Saturday, 9th November, for the Yucateco Pan-African Emirate title fight. Six Pan-African title contests have been primed to headline the week-11 fight card of the Yucateco Boxing League Season 2 at Emirate Palace in Ilorin.
