Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their impressive performance, praising the team’s resilience and commitment at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to governor Okpebholo, Dr Patrick Ebojele, this result is heart gladdening and in deed a good performance from the boys.
The governor further heaped praises on Edo indigenes in the team, Victor Osimhen for his decisive impact in attack, describing the Galatasaray striker as a symbol of determination and national pride.

He also commended defender Bright Osayi-Samuel for his tireless display and defensive solidity, noting that he has grown into the tournament with good performance and gave one of his best national team performances to date, encouraging him to build on that. Governor Okpebholo also gave kudos to Amas Obasogie for being a true team player, showing zeal and excitement at every win of the team, despite being the third choice in the team.

According to the governor, the Super Eagles’ display has continued to lift the spirits of many Nigerians, believing in the ability to surmount any mountain.
He urged the players to remain focused and united as the tournament gets into the semifinals.
