D’Tigers on Monday evening suffered defeat at the hands of Senegal in their opening match of the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
It was a keenly contested affair in Lagos on Monday evening, with Senegal prevailing over the Nigeria Men’s basketball national team by a score of 93-87.
While proving to be a tough challenge, the hosts managed to narrow the gap by claiming a 26-25 lead in the first quarter. Senegal turned up the intensity and secured the second quarter with a score of 46-45.
D’Tigers mounted a strong comeback, clinching the third quarter 68-67. Nonetheless, Senegal managed a narrow victory in the final quarter, ultimately winning the game with a score of 93-87.
