In an inspiring display of appreciation and gratitude, Remo Stars Football Club Chairman, Hon. Kunle Soname, has raised the bar for player recognition in Nigerian football. The club boss surprised the team’s standout player, Olamilekan Adedayo, with a brand new GAC SUV, a rare and touching reward for loyalty, ommitment and dedication to the team.
The emotional moment which took place at the Remo Stars Studium in Ikenne on Monday afternoon during the teams Champions Gala , saw Adedayo who was completely overwhelmed with joy receive the keys to his new car.
Honourable Soname during the Gala ceremony welcomed victorious the Remo Stars Academy Boys — Beyond Limits Academy who emerged winners of the 2025 Gothia Cup in Sweden over the weekend. The Academy captain presented the Chairman the tournament trophy and Gold medal.
Soname went on to announce cash rewards for each of the teams under the Club — the men’s team,(Remo Stars FC), the women’s team (Remo Stars ladies FC), and the Academy (Beyond Limits Academy).
He rewarded the Remo Stars FC with 25 Million naira for emerging Champions of the 2024/2025 NPFL while Remo Stars Ladies were gifted with 10 Million naira for finishing fourth in the NWFL premiership. Beyond Limits Academy got a cash prize 5 Million naira for an impressive President’s federations cup run as well as emerging Champions of the 2025 Gothia Cup.
The ever present Supporters Club weren’t left behind as they were also handsomely rewarded with 2 Million naira cash reward.
This gesture not only highlights Hon. Soname’s commitment to motivating his squad but also sets a precedent for how Nigerian clubs can invest in the personal growth and morale of their players and team in general.
