Following the departure of Fatai Osho as chief coach at Rivers United, the Port Harcourt-based side made a significant announcement on Wednesday night via Twitter, revealing Evans Ogenyi as their new Chief Coach.

The club expressed their delight in welcoming Ogenyi to their ranks, citing his impressive managerial experience.

Ogenyi’s previous coaching roles include successful stints at Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars. Most recently, he guided Kano Pillars back to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

With Ogenyi’s expertise and proven track record, Rivers United aims to strengthen its position in the NPFL and achieve new heights under his leadership as they get ready for the CAF Confederations Cup.
