…Charges Health Professionals on Collaboration
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has restated the present administration’s commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare delivery systems for the people.
The Deputy Governor gave the assurance while declaring open the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Edo State Branch Pharmacy Week 2022, in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
He stated that the theme for the celebration of this year’s week: “Pharmacists United in Action for a Healthier World” was very apt as pharmacists play a major role in a healthy society.
“The State Government is focused on improving the health sector. The State Governor is poised to see that all Edolites are provided with the best healthcare system. This is why we look forward to partnering with the pharmacists to see this to a positive end”.
He commended the leadership of PSN while advising them to work on any suspected acrimony that may hinder its progress.
“This year’s theme which centres on ‘unification’ should not only unite pharmacists to achieve their goal, but also drag others to collaborate and push this up”.
He added: “beyond supporting the state chapter, we also want to support the national body to have the zonal headquarters here in the state. I congratulate you all and wish you a fruitful week ahead, Shaibu noted.
In his remarks, Edo State Chairman of PSN, Dr. Osaretin Enadeghe appreciated his colleagues who registered for the current year towards the Pharmacy House building while soliciting more financial support for the project.
