Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh has identified that Nigeria’s sports sector needs to address its trust deficit and infrastructure funding needs as part of the prerequisite for development in the sector.
The minister stated that his passion which is a character trait will fuel his desire to succeed in the responsibilities assigned to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On addressing the trust deficit, Enoh stated that that would be an open and transparent administration. He enjoined the media to be partners in the development of sports, joining hands with stakeholders for the sake of national growth.
He stated “Funding remains a challenge, it’s never enough. Even with the little release, there is the issue of trust deficiency.
However, I bring transparency and openness, to restore confidence and to provide the direction for sponsors to come in,” he assured.
