Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, H. E. Silas Agara, who now serves as the Chairman of the Nationwide League One (NLO), has expressed his commitment to improving the league’s branding and attracting attention through good synergy with the media and adopting digital media strategies.

In his first official interaction with the NLO Media channel, Agara shared his plans for the newly constituted NLO Board.

Emphasizing the importance of the NLO in providing leadership opportunities for young talents across the country, Agara highlighted that the board comprises members from all six geo-political zones, working together to drive positive change in the league.

“After our inauguration, we convened our first board meeting and set our agendas. In the coming days, we plan to conduct a thorough review of the NLO’s entire structure,” Agara said, outlining the board’s plans to enhance the league’s operations.

Agara stressed the significance of establishing a strong partnership with the media to showcase the NLO effectively. Recognizing the media as a pivotal platform, he expressed his desire for the right reportage that would attract brands to sponsor the league. He acknowledged that without proper media coverage, reaching a global audience and encouraging sponsorship would be challenging.

“We need the media to reach out to top brands and potential sponsors, while also maintaining positive and accurate coverage of NLO activities,” Agara stated, underlining the importance of presenting the league in a favourable light to attract critical decisions from sponsors.

Agara also asserted that building a healthy relationship with the media was essential to secure sponsorship for the league. He emphasized the need to communicate their plans clearly to the media, seeking their support in reaching out to Nigerians and potential sponsors.
