…Team boss hails team’s hard work and discipline
Just like the 2003/2004 invincible Arsenal team who went unbeaten throughout the English premier league season, Dynamo Academica FC of Benin City, have won the third edition of the Benin City Youth without losing a single game.
In a very joyous and elated mood, the chairman of Dynamo Academica, Mr Harrison Okaka credited the victory of his team to the all-around discipline of the players, his coaching crew and the staff.
In an interview with Platinum News, the renowned football administrator confirmed that it wasn’t an easy task, winning the league without tasting defeat, a feat that was not achieved in the previous editions of the league.
He said, “It was all about teamwork for us, the players were very disciplined and willing to improve on every single game and result. Honestly, we never believed we’ll be able to do the unbeaten run, although we had our sight on the trophy from the first game we played.”
Dynamo Academica FC were crowned Champions of the 2023 edition of the Benin City youth league on Tuesday after defeating Yak Sports FC 3-0, getting a total of 28 points, one point ahead of the second-placed team, Ine Stars FC.
Dynamo Academica FC scored a total of 23 league goals and conceded 5 goals during the season. They won 8 matches and had 5 draws. Obinna Emmanuel who was the best player of the league for the champions scored 9 goals while Amagba Miracle got 8 assists.
