2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier: Nigerian Umpire gets ICC invitation.

The international Cricket council, ICC have called up Nigerian Umpire, Enesi Habib Amoto to officiate at the forthcoming 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers taking place in Uganda from December 7th to 18th, 2023, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Mr Enesi Habib Amoto who hails from Kogi state, but has spent his entire Cricket Career in Kaduna State is an experienced Umpire and also a coach of the game, having previously coached the Kaduna State Cricket team and also served as Technical Director of the Nigerian Cricket Federation, NCF.

The 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier is a cricket tournament that forms part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The first stage of the tournament was Division Two, which featured eight teams and was held in Botswana in September 2023. The top two sides in Division Two advanced to Division One, which featured six seeded teams .

The top two sides in Division One will progress to the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.

The eight teams are: Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda.
