The Nigeria Men’s Handball National Team, the Golden Arrows touched down in Egypt on Monday night in preparation for the 26th Africa Men Handball Nations Cup, scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
After an intense training camp in Abuja spanning over a month under the guidance of Coach Rafiu Salami and Assistant Coach Solomon Yola, the team concluded its preparations on Sunday. They then departed for Cairo on Monday afternoon via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Coach Rafiu selected a final squad of 16 players out of the initially invited 27, gearing up to face ten-time champions Tunisia, along with Angola and Kenya in Group D of the nations cup.

The Golden Arrows will kick off their Africa Handball Nations Cup campaign against Angola in their first match at 3 pm Nigeria time (4 pm local time) on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Subsequent matches include facing Tunisia two days later (Friday) at 7 pm Nigeria time and Kenya on Sunday at 1 pm Nigeria time.
