Three clubs from Group A of the Nigeria Women’s Football League have booked their tickets in the Premiership Super Six after recording victories in their Match Day 13 fixtures.
Nasarawa Amazons defeated Adamawa Queens 2-1 to seal their place in the Super Six. Goals from Mathias Josephine and Ojiyovwi Kesiena ensured that the Amazons remain table toppers with 26 points.
Heartland Queens booked their maiden qualification ticket to the NWFL Premiership Super Six after defeating Naija Ratels by two goals to one at the Dan Ayiam Stadium.
Confluence Queens sealed the back-to-back qualification to the NWFL Premiership super six, on away soil. First-half goals from Mary Mamudu 17′ and Chinyere Emenike 35′ sealed a two-nil victory for the Kogi-based side against Abia Angels.
Rivers Angels defeated second-place Bayelsa Queens by a last-minute goal to book their ticket to the NWFL Premiership Super Six. Patience Otubo scored the winning goal for the seven-time winner, Rivers Angels.
Edo Queens remain third in Group B of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, after defeating Remo Stars Ladies by a goal to nil. Emem Essien’s 35th-minute goal ensured that Edo Queens remained third with 22 points as second place Bayelsa Queens.
Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens will be hoping to seal their qualification to the NWFL Premiership Super Six on the final Match day.
