The Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed that Enugu will host the 2024 Super 8 tournament, scheduled for May 23-30, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The announcement was made on Monday by NNL Chairman, George Aluo, who expressed delight at Enugu, the “home of football,” hosting the football qualifiers.
He thanked Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, and Lloyd Ekweremadu, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, for their support.
Aluo assured that the state government has committed to providing all necessary logistics to ensure a successful tournament.
The Super 8, which concludes the league season, identifies the champion of the second tier and promotes the best three teams to the top league.
Teams including Nasarawa Utd, Sporting Supreme of Abuja, and Sokoto Utd have already secured their places in the competition.
