The League Management Board of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), in an official statement on Thursday, January 16, 2025, announced the unveiling of the long-overdued official match balls for 2024/25 season.
The LMC through its Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, said that the memo is with immediate effect and is directed at all League Club Executives, are hereby advise to ensure their respective teams adhere to the laid-down directives.
With this being said, the official match balls are now available at the NPFL Secretariat for instant pick-up and should be used throughout the duration of the second round of matches for the season.
“However, we wish to inform you that the official match balls for the 2024/25 NPFL season has arrived and you are expected to pick up the balls from the Secretariat of the NPFL immediately.
“Based of the foregoing, you are to note that only the official match balls should be used for all NPFL matches going forward in the second half of the fixtures,” Owumi stated.
With the second stanza of the campaign set to kickoff on Thursday, January 23, Kano Pillars preps up to host Nigeria’s sole continental interclub competiton representative, Enyimba, in a rescheduled fixture by 4pm at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
This matchday, is coming off four days after the People’s Elephant of Aba, who currently sit third with 5 points in Group D, takes on Egyptian giants and table-toppers Zamalek in the last game of the group stages, to secure a place ahead of Al-Masry and Black Bulls in the Quarter-Final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
