Bendel Insurance Football Club fullback Julius Emiloju has expressed excitement over his first career goal for the club, subsequently helping his team to earn a hard-fought victory over Kastina United, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
Bendel Insurance had secured an away result against Rivers United a few days before the matchday 22 fixture and needed a win against the Changi Boys of Kastina State to go out of the relegation zone.
After a good start to the game, creating some good chances to score, the Benin Arsenals got a deserved goal in the 27th minute as Julius Emiloju netted from close range as Kastina United failed to deal well with a cross from Kayode Oke.
In a post-match interview, the former Wikki Tourist and MFM left-back stated how happy he was to have netted his first goal for the club and promised his team would do all they could to get a result against Shooting Stars FC in their next game.
“I’m very excited and happy to score my first goal for the club today. I’m also very grateful that the goal was able to give us maximum points today and take us out of the relegation zone.”
“For the next match against Shooting Stars, the fans should expect a good performance from us. The fans should keep supporting us. We hope to make the fans happy at Ibadan by getting the job done.”
