…Says Nigeria’s Unity Lies in Her Diversity
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has felicitated with the muslim faithful in Nigeria, as they joined their fellow counterparts around the world to mark this year’s Eid-el-maulud in celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.).
In his Eid-el-maulud message, Shaibu noted: “Permit me to admonish our Muslim brothers and sisters and indeed, all Nigerians to emulate the virtues of tolerance, love and humanity as exemplified by the life of the Holy Prophet”.
” That Nigeria is the largest black race in the world and is fondly referred to as the Giant of Africa can be attributed to a divine arrangement”.
” l make bold to say that our strength and unity as one strong indivisible nation lies in our diversity as a people of multi-ethnic, religious and cultural heritage”.
“As the 2023 general elections are fast approaching, let me enjoin Muslim faithful in Nigeria, our dear country to pray fervently for the successful conduct and outcome of the exercise”
“More importantly, let’s pray for courage on the part of the people to cast their votes according to the dictates of their conscience, to elect God-fearing leaders with the capacity to move Nigeria forward”.
“Nigeria is blessed with abundant human and natural resources. All that is required for us to achieve our God-given potentials and take our rightful place in the comity of nations is to put the right leadership in place”.
