Platinum News has concluded the draws for the inaugural edition of Platinum Cup 2023 in Benin City, Edo State on Tuesday evening.
The draws ceremony for the football competition was held with the representatives of the participating teams in attendance as they are gearing towards the April 12 kick-off.
The preseason scouting tournament will serve as a warm-up tourney for NLO clubs as they get ready for the next season.
Speaking after the draws, the coach of Benin Warriors, Nelson Dafe talked about the tournament favourites
“We expect a very competitive tournament, coming into the draws, we know there are 13 formidable teams. There are no clear favourites but with recent success, BJ FC and Rolly FC are frontrunners.” Dave said
