Shaibu Leads Retired NTA Benin Zonal Director, Others On Thank-You Visit to Benin Monarch

…congratulates Mrs. Pauline Igbanor on her meritorious retirement

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, Tuesday led the retired NTA Benin Zonal Director, Mrs. Pauline Igbanor, her husband, family members and associates, on a thank-you visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Nee Ogidigan. The Royal father had honoured Mrs. Igbanor with the Benin royal bead for her outstanding service to humanity.

In his remarks, during the royal visit, the Deputy Governor, expressed appreciation to the Omo N’Oba for the warm reception, fatherly role and prayers – all of which have combined in various positive ways – to contribute meaningfully to many success stories of the great Benin kingdom.

According to Shaibu, “the retired NTA Benin Zonal Director has done very well and written her name in the sands of time. We must commit our patriotic efforts to nation-building while creating a niche for ourselves”.

“The world is evolving and in need of an experienced young generation to tap from the experience of the aged ones. We must rise to become employers of labour and not employees of labour”, Shaibu added.

On his part, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, thanked the recipient of his royal honour, Mrs. Pauline Igbanor; while congratulating her for stellar achievements during her active years in the service of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the thank-you visit, Mrs. Pauline Igbanor said she was in the palace of the Oba of Benin, in the company of the Edo State Deputy Governor, her husband, family members, friends and associates to appreciate His Royal Majesty for honouring her with the prestigious Benin royal bead.
