Head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote has told Liverpool fans to forget of a replay against Tottenham Hotspur, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
Ogunbote’s 3SC fell to Bendel Insurance on matchday two of the Nigeria Premier Football League at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in a 2-0 away loss. An own goal in the eighth minute and 78th minute curler from Evans Ogbonda into the top left saw Insurance get the maximum point.
Speaking after the game, the Oracle, Gbenga Ogunbote spoke on poor refereeing decisions as what affected his team. Using the Tottenham v Liverpool game as a reference, he explained that such decisions can not be reversed.
“Even in England, when the PGMOL apologised to Liverpool. They can’t reverse the game.” Ogunbote told the media.
While asked about the own goal scored by his player Gali Falke, he refused to speak on the issue.
“I am not to blame my players. I do not talk about them to the media. I will talk to them when we get home.”
Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan will play host to the Savannah Scorpions, Gombe United in matchday three of the NPFL next Wednesday at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
