WCQ: Peseiro calls up 23 for Zimbabwe and Lesotho, ignores Dele Bashiru, Torunarigha






Super Eagles coach, Jose Santos Peseiro, has called up 23 players, dropping Fisayo Dele Bashiru and Jordan Torunarigha for this month’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The 23-man-squad sees the return of Jamilu Collins following a lengthy injury lay-off. Also, Bayer Leverkusen’s Nathan Tella received his first-ever call-up. Sadiq Umar, based in Spain, makes a comeback to the squad after an extended absence die to injury.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Thursday, November 15th and then fly to Rwanda for a clash with the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium in Butare on Sunday, 19th November
