NNL24: Warri Wolves FC picks away point against Crown FC

Warri Wolves FC secured their first away point of the season on the road with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Crown FC at Ogbomoso on Saturday, December 16th, Platinumnewsng.com is reporting

From the outset, the Seasiders exhibited a strong intent, dominating the game against the hosts. Forward, Olewunne Izuchukwu missed an early opportunity but redeemed himself in the 39th minute, breaking the deadlock and putting Warri Wolves ahead.

Debutant Terry initiated a precise pullout to Festus Ingo, who then connected with Izuchukwu for a well-executed header, granting the visitors the lead.

Crown FC attempted to level the score just before half-time, but a spectacular save from goalkeeper Joke Elvis thwarted their efforts. The first half concluded with Warri Wolves maintaining their advantage.

In the second half, Crown FC intensified their attacks and managed to find an equalizer in the 66th minute through Adekunle Mojeed.

Despite a spirited effort from the hosts to secure a winning goal, a resilient Warri Wolves defence thwarted all attempts, leading to a final score of 1-1 and securing the Seasiders their first away point of the season.

Following this result, Warri Wolves FC has now ascended to the third position in the Southern Conference Group B standings, accumulating seven points from four matches. Their upcoming fixture is against Giant Brillars on Friday, December 22nd, for Matchday 6.
