Today, Nigeria Premier Football League club Abia Warriors took to the streets to raise awareness for the Umuahia-based club.
The road walk began at Umuahia Township Stadium, heading towards Ikot Ekpene road. Participants in the walk, numbering in significant amounts, returned via Aba road, connecting Umuwaya road to Uwalaka Road along Uzuakoli road, and continued to Okpara Square before concluding the journey at Bank Road.
The team’s final destination was the Government House in Umuahia.
Under the leadership of newly appointed manager John Obuh, the Abia Warriors management team is determined to bring the club closer to the people of the state.
Abia Warriors kicked off the 2023-24 NPFL season with a 1-0 victory against Niger Tornadoes.
