Ahmed Musa Part Ways with Turkish Club by Mutual Consent.

Turkish Super League side Fatih Karagumruk SK has announced the exit of the Super Eagles Captain from the top flight club.

The club thanked Ahmed Musa for his services to the club and wished him success in his future in a statement released on social media today.

“We have parted ways by mutual agreement with professional football player Ahmed Musa, who was included in our squad in 2021-22. We would like to thank Ahmed Musa for his services to our club and wish him success in his future football career”. The statement read.

The termination of the contract of the Nigerian Forward would come as a surprise as he was included in the club’s squad for 2022/2023.

The 29-year-old who recently announced the birth of his son has been released despite making three appearances(one start and two substitute appearances) although not having any goal contribution for the side led by Former Juventus Boss Andrea Pirlo and are currently placed 13th on the Log in the Turkish Super League having won one and lost two of their opening three games of the season.

The Kano-Born attacker who has 107 caps and scored 16 goals for the Nigeria national team joined Faith Karagumruk SK in July 2021 on a two-year deal after a stint with Nigerian side Kano Pillars.

Musa has previously plied his trade in Netherland, Russia, England and Saudi Arabia and has played for VVV Venlo, CSKA Moscow and Leicester City,  Al Nassr in his Career won three Russian Premier League titles, two Super Cups and one Russian Cup with CSKA Moscow and the Saudi Pro League and the Super Cup with Al Nassr during his time in Saudi Arabia. He also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 2013.

The Nigerian made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish side scoring 4 goals.
