Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has rallied the Super Eagles to adopt an attacking mindset as they prepare for their quarter-final encounter against Algeria, Ayoola Adeleke reporting for Platinum News from Marrakech, Morocco.

The Super Eagles have a date with the Desert Foxes on Saturday, January 10 at the Sidi Brahimi Stadium, Marrakech, in what has been tagged by many football stakeholders as a “Battle Royale”.

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Okpebholo urged the Nigerian team to play with confidence, purpose, and hunger for goals, stressing that boldness in attack would be key to securing victory against the Desert Foxes.

According to the governor, the Super Eagles must be on alert for whatever antics their Algerian counterparts will be deploying to win the game.
“Matches like this are decided by the ability to outscore your opponents and this I want to urge the Super Eagles to do relentlessly. We believe in them that they can do it ans I want the players to believe in themselves, take the game to their opponents, and go for goals.”

As both sides renew a long-standing rivalry, expectations back home remain high that the Super Eagles will rise to the occasion, deliver an exciting performance, and make the nation proud with a positive result against Algeria.
