Super Eagles’ left-back, Jamilu Collins, has been replaced by Chidozie Awaziem for the upcoming international friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The decision was made official through the Super Eagles X account today, citing fitness issues that have plagued Collins in the lead-up to the international break.

Collins’ fitness concerns began when he sustained a knock in the victory over Rotherham, subsequently causing him to miss the midweek trip to Middlesbrough.

Erol Bulut, the manager of Collins’ club, Cardiff City, expressed his worries last Thursday about the player’s fitness, emphasizing the need to protect him from further injury.

To allow Collins time to recover, he will be granted a two-week rest, which is deemed crucial for his well-being. In his absence, Chidozie Awaziem, a product of the FC Porto academy now playing for Boavista in Portugal, has been called up as his replacement.
