Bright Ozebagbe has officially resigned from his role as head coach of Ikorodu City FC.
He made this known after a 1-0 defeat on Sunday to Plateau United in match day 5 of the Nigeria Premier Football League 2024/25 season.
Ikorodu City FC are rock bottom with just a point after five matches. The point came away from home against Kwara United on match day three after a goalless draw.
Oga boys have failed to secure a point at the Mobolaji Johnson arena, Onikan, since the season began with losses to Enugu Rangers and Nasarawa United.
Ozebagbe who played a crucial role in Ikorodu City FC promotion into the NPFL, quits his job nine months after employment.
While speaking to Sports247, he said, ” I don’t feel happy doing my job, not being appreciated, and I just want to get my mental state away from the club and explore other possibilities”.
It is left to be seen who the Lagos side employs to take charge of the side as they host the Benin arsenals in their next feature at the Mobolaji Johnson arena, Onikan.
