Points was shared between Nigeria Bar Association and Edo Medical Laboratory Scientists in matchday two of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital Chief Medical Director’s Inter Professional Tournament on Thursday evening, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
Both sides headed into the game confident of a victory but Edo MLS rescued a point 11 minutes until the end of regulation time at the UBTH mini stadium with fans and supporters cheering from the newly built stands.
The first half ended in a goal less deadlock. Less than ten minutes into the second 45′, NBA netted the opener. With the game in favour of NBA, MLS began mounting pressure in an attempt to get the much needed equaliser. Their efforts however paid off in the 79th minute.
This draw means both sides have only picked two points in Group A of the tournament after playing two consecutive draws. NNPC are at the top with Bankers seated fourth.
Matchday two continues on Friday by 4pm with Nigeria Medical Association playing against Dominion FC.
