NNPC booked their place in the next round as Edo Medical Laboratory Scientists bowed out of the seventh edition of the tournament after suffering defeat.
Pharmacy 1-2 Benin Recreational Club
The last game of matchday two had Benin Recreational Club defeat Pharmacy to clinch their first win of the tournament. Osayuku Omoregie scored first for Pharmacy, five minutes before halftime. Benin Recreational Club however came into the second half to equalise and take the lead with Morgan Perry 55′ and Godwin Prince 72′ finding the back of the net.
NNPC 3-0 EDO Medical Laboratory Scientists
NNPC explored Edo MLS and posited three goals to book a place in the knockout stage of the tournament. Today’s victory was NNPC’s second which puts them top of the table with seven points. Mikel, Olembe and Aboh all netted for NNPC.
